Happy Thanksgiving 2012

I’ve been doing these write ups for some years now, and before doing this one, I stopped and read the ones from 2008 up to the present and I notice that while there were a few changes in the things that I was most grateful for, there were also a few constants, most noticeably in the people that I am grateful to have in my life.

I’d like to start this 2012 writeup by again firstly thanking God. Over the last two years, I know I have not acknowledged your existence, but the truth is that everything that I have achieved and every person who entered my life, was there because of you. I am thankful that you haven’t forsaken me even though I neglected you. I am thankful for all the people ( the good and the bad ) that you have brought into my life to help me learn valuable life lessons. Most importantly, I am thankful for giving me the strength to hold firm in the face of darkness, when I’ve constantly just wanted to ‘give in’.

I am thankful for my family, for their constant support in everything that I do. Within the last two years, I know that I have become distant from what we are normally accustomed to, but you were all still there for me. So thank you Mom & Dad, Dirk, Daryll & Kimberly, I love you all the most.

For the people I call my friends. The ones who remain constant year after year, from the inception of these write ups to the present, even though I don’t say it very often, I am very thankful to have you all in my life. You peeps are the ones that I can continuously count on. Thank you; my tripod- Alana, Farzad & Rocky; also to my buddy Joel, though you haven’t been around since 2008 you have become a great friend, worthy of my circle.

To my office peeps, Bernel, Keeron, Richard, Lizann, Trisha, Natasha & Juliano. You guys are truly one in a million. I wont trade up my office space with anyone. Thanks for the millions of laughs on a daily basis that help to keep me sane and make the office environment much more friendlier that it usually is.

To my friend Miranda, thank you for all the kind words you have said to me. You have done so much for me and you are not even aware of it.  You are indeed a rare gem and I truly appreciate you. You have been my inspiration and my hope. Thank you for everything.

To those reading this blog, to those who know me and to those who think that they know me, My life isn’t perfect. I might laugh and I might smile, I am able to make the best of what I have because of all the people mentioned here today.  Life will never be perfect, I don’t think it can ever be that way, but we must try to be thankful for what we have, even the little things that we take for granted on a daily basis. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone.
