Mission Statement:
The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation is dedicated to curing spinal cord injury by funding innovative research, and improving the quality of life for people living with paralysis through grants, information and advocacy.
Why do I support them?
Its no secret that I’m a huge superman fan and so a lot of people would think ‘ Oh you support this because you are a superman fan ‘ but trust me its not the reason I support this foundation. I have my personal reasons why I support a cure for paralysis and only those with whom I am close with will know.
Here is something you should consider. This foundations aims to CURE paralysis. CURE – that’s like permanent right! Imagine how much HOPE that gives to someone who has been told that they will NEVER walk again. Imagine the JOY a kid would experience being able to use his | her legs for the FIRST time. For me, that’s a good enough reason to support this foundation.
You guys know if it were you or someone in your family were faced with problems due to spinal cord injury, you would do anything; you would give anything to make them better. So I ask that you PLEASE SUPPORT this Foundation.
How can you show your support?
There are many ways you can show | pledge your support to this foundation. Below are just some of the ways:-
- Donations – (become a monthly donor or donate as little as a dollar for ever year you walk)
- Fund Raising Events – (have an event such as a walk or a hike)
- Shop for a cure – (purchase items from the foundations website, some of the proceeds go towards the cure)
- Spread the word – (send an e-mail, text a friend, let them know about the foundation and get them to support)
For more ways to show your support, you can check out their official website listed above.
Thank you all for reading this. I hope I was able to motivate some of you to show your support to this great foundation. Remember: “one man can make a difference.”
